Son!c Memory

Sonic Memory is a a piece of software and performance written by Andrew Blanton that records ambient sounds visually to explore the nature of memory and the process of altered or over written thoughts by other events. The work slowly draws an output based on the performance creating a visual association with sonic events. Using realtime audio manipulation digital sound chambers are constructed for the performance environment. §on¡c Memo®y is a realtime video and performance event combining live electronics, percussion and screen based sound interpretation. And by recording sound visually over a longer period of time a visual is slowly generated that is unique to each performance.
